GN'R original aren't getting back together because of Axl, it's Slash.

Quote from Axl:
"What's clear is that one of the two of us will die before a reunion and however sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is. Those decisions were made a long time ago and reiterated year after year by one man."

If you've read Slash's book, it's basically a 500 page rip on Axl.LTShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00316299951293563733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2589351845940231079.post-40603601444428098792010-05-27T06:33:43.826-04:002010-05-27T06:33:43.826-04:00Also -

No matter what the author thinks - this IS Axl Rose. The idea that nobody wanted the album is just silly. We all know that to be untrue.

Second - the author makes it sound as though NOTHING came out of Gn'R after Appetite - completely forgetting Use Your Illusions and the absolute gems contained within - some of the material on there is undoubtedly better than anything Appetite had to offer - I refer you to Estranged, Coma, etc.

Third - doesn't the author relase that 'Smile' HAS been released? Just shows how up to date the author is...sad.

I could go on, I mean - has the author even HEARD Chinese Democracy? Has he read Klosterman's review of it? With which many people agree? Has he seen the fan reaction? Has he heard Better? Madagascar? Prostitute? The list goes on...

Meanwhile, the others (with all respect for Izzy who I truly still like as an individual) - have produced jack-shit. Absolutely nothing memorable has come out of them. Nothing.

Take the Axl-Hate elsewhere, jeezus.Septichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13188976414602280035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2589351845940231079.post-9578700376300573662010-05-20T15:59:15.023-04:002010-05-20T15:59:15.023-04:00Looking out for Axl's best interests? Who's in the best position to know that, Irving or Axl?

I have no idea what's transpired here or who's to blame but I bet Axl thinks the artist is the boss, not the manager. If the artist is the boss then the manager has to do what he's told. If that doesn't happen the manager gets fired. We all know, Irving, is not just any manager. He's one of the capatains of this industry. He probably thinks he's the boss in the artist/manager relationship.

Two bosses = big problems

C.T.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2589351845940231079.post-15175101950318386942010-05-20T08:16:03.206-04:002010-05-20T08:16:03.206-04:00Yes, you have to remember - Axl was in hiding for ...Yes, you have to remember - Axl was in hiding for months and months before and after the album came out.

He would not even issue a P.R. or confirm that the album was arriving.

'Shackler's Revenge' and 'If the World' were included in Rock Band 2 and Body of Lies - still no word from Axl.

Any one who knows anything about Axl knows that this counter-suit is silly.Mack Arillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09782126553576742618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2589351845940231079.post-2307670059592977192010-05-20T05:29:43.750-04:002010-05-20T05:29:43.750-04:00Sorry, I don't buy the argument that CD's ...Sorry, I don't buy the argument that CD's sales are entirely reflective of the quality of the music. Leaving that issue aside (and I think it was a fantastic album):

no music videos
no televised interviews with Axl/band members
no televised performances in America
no significant interviews in print (del james doesn't count)

This is BAD PROMOTION. Expecting an album to sell well under these circumstances would be lunacy.

Somewhere along the line the promotion for this album was derailed. I think it was probably more Axl's doing than Azoff's.Wilyvetmoveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04317194555504468652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2589351845940231079.post-15033708932352692152010-05-20T00:30:21.892-04:002010-05-20T00:30:21.892-04:00Best interest or not, intentionally tanking a CDs ...Best interest or not, intentionally tanking a CDs sales is called FRAUD.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
