They are masters of self-deception and manipulative behavior and when they come out the other side they are warriors of the light. He drops the God's honest truth yet no one seems to notice...

"I didn't like that interview he did on That Metal Show. I was very disappointed. He didn't answer one question".

EXACTLY. That's what Axl does - pushes things aside that make him uncomfortable. At least in the public when it comes to answering questions about being the fearless leader of Guns N' Roses.

See, Axl enjoys complete power and autonomy but doesn't like it when the customers of his business demand something more (or something at all...) out of him.

But I'm not certain the blandness of the interview can be blamed on Axl's manager playing liontamer and batting down any tough question that came his way.

I cast more of the blame on the shoulders of Eddie Trunk. He doesn't strike me as particularly bright or prescient enough to ask any insightful questions nor is he enough of a fan to know what "we" want to hear. And he probably didn't want to rock the boat because that could've interrupted his payday. Gushing all over Axl was conducive to a longer interview which means ratings which means $$$.

Always follow the money, Mr. Woodward. Always follow the money.
Speaking of good times coming in Vegas. At least there's that.

Peace,

-BAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
