This is the oldest demo of I.R.S. in circulation.

It features Paul Tobias and Buckethead on guitar.

In my opinion, this is the strongest version.

It's harder than the newer versions - meaner, gnarlier.

I'm sharing it here because it is pretty hard to find.

None of the Chinese Democracy torrents flying around the Internet have this version.

Until now, it wasn't on YouTube - its just really hard to find.

So, I made this video for you all to enjoy.

Where is Chinese Democracy album from Axl Rose and Guns N Roses?

In December of 2006, Axl Rose released a statement of a "tentative release date" for Chinese Democracy on the 6th of March 2007. It was mentioned that concert shows in California had to be canceled in order to try and meet this release date. The statement also said that the band was going to do everything in its power to meet this date……….

Well guess what year it is? yes it’s 2008! And guess what month it is? Yes it’s March. And at the time of writing this, its March 5th 2008, and yes tomorrow it will be March 6th 2008, a year on from that tentative release date.

Still no official statement has been released from the Guns N Roses camp since December 2006 as to what is happening. All that has been released in recent weeks is speculation like any other year. Apparently the album is complete and it has been handed into Geffen, Universal or whoever is the label these days and that Axl is looking for more money to promote his album.

It’s difficult to believe anything anymore relating to the name Guns N Roses. It’s almost like a brand name that has been torn apart. Everything that it has represented is diminishing the more time that passes. The only thing that keeps this name intact is the memory of what the original band was, the years of appetite, illusion’s and lies.

All people hear these days about Guns N Roses, is an album release, it’s coming out….it’s coming soon….chicken coup’s,…..bucket head’s…..tentative release date’s…..most expensive album ever made….canceled shows….it’s finished but……Years pass by and nothing ever happens. It used to be so easy for Guns N Roses to make music, this was a band who used to create their greatest tunes over a few days. Yet this complex record just goes on and on.

The question still remains though after 17 years without any original album.

Where is Chinese Democracy?

A little respect goes a long way with the fans. Its just common courtesy to say "look this is what is happening everyone." All that has been happening so far, is nothing but disrespect. Fans spend their hard earned money to make this band what it is, and all you get back in return is a lack of information.

Time will tell whether this band is still relevant, purposeful or has any reason to be still around. To be frank about things, it’s gotten to the stage that people have either forgotten or do not really care anymore. It’s sad but it is fact.

"14 Years" with new Duff bass

I had so much fun making my last video that I decided to have another go at it today.
The music is taken from the "mixes and Q sound" bootleg that surfaced late last year.

Its an alternate mix of "14 Years", with slightly different vocals, a different bass track, and a neat little jam at the end.

Once again, the images are taken from Rock 'N' Roll Comics #33 (SEPT 1991)

You're really going to like this. I think this "14 Years" is better than the one on Use Your Illusion II.

New Nine Inch Nails (For Free)

Nine Inch Nails are giving their new album away to fans who visit their website. Ghosts I-IV, a 36-track instrumental LP, is available for download and as a physical copy.

Fans can download a nine-track version for free; pay $5 for the whole album; $10 for a two CD set; $75 for a deluxe version; or $300 for a limited edition album numbered and signed by frontman Trent Reznor.

The band made the album available on Monday and NIN.com has been bombarded with hits, grinding it to a virtual halt.

The move follows in the footsteps of Radiohead, who last year allowed fans to chose how much they paid to download their latest album In Rainbows. It also comes just four months after Nine Inch Nails were forced to scrap plans for an official website to showcase fans' remixes of their songs, because the band's former record company refused to have any involvement in the project.

Reznor hoped to create a site where their devotees could listen to new tracks from the band's forthcoming remix album - but his plans had to be halted as Universal Records are currently locked in a legal battle with video-sharing sites YouTube and MySpace for breach of copyright.

Universal, which owns the rights to Nine Inch Nails' material, is suing internet giants Google - owners of YouTube - and MySpace's parent company News Corp. for allegedly allowing copyrighted videos and music to be uploaded onto their sites.

The ongoing legal wrangling means Reznor has been banned from creating his own site to share songs with fans because it could prove to be detrimental to the case.

Weiland Leaves Rehab

Scott Weiland has been discharged from a rehab treatment center after a 28-day stay. The singer, who fronts both Velvet Revolver and the reformed Stone Temple Pilots, is "doing well", his attorney Tony Brooklier tells website TMZ.com.

Weiland has a long history of drink and drug problems which have culminated in convictions for driving under the influence (DUI) and buying crack cocaine. The singer also faces fresh DUI charges after he was arrested in November, following an accident on a California highway.

Reformed band Stone Temple Pilots will play their first show in almost seven years (!) at the Rock On The Range festival in Columbus, Ohio this May. The singer's other band, Velvet Revolver, was forced to scrap a series of shows to allow Weiland time to concentrate on rehab.

Guns N' Roses B-Sides

Resigned to the fact that Chinese Democracy will never be released to the general public - I spent the last few days putting together a "B-Sides CD" with various tracks taken from the half dozen or so singles I have in my collection.

Anyway, I dug up my old promo copy of Holiday Greetings From Geffen Records, and scanned in some pictures from Rock 'N' Roll Comics #33 (SEPT 1991), and put this video together for you...
