Izzy Stradlin is 48 Today

Born in Lafayette, Indiana, 48 years ago today, Izzy Stradlin is best known as the heart and soul of Guns N' Roses, the quiet one, the singer/songwriter, the rhythm guiiarist, and along with W. Axl Rose was a founding member of the band.

Izzy penned such hits as "Patience," "Used To Love Her," "Don't Cry," "You Could Be Mine," "Nightrain," "Mr. Brownstone" & "Paradise City."

In December 2009, he released his tenth solo album, Smoke. Recently, Izzy contributed guitar to the opening track ("Ghost") of former bandmate Slash's new solo album.
