New Single "Better" Debuts Today

Q104.3 is streaming the song on-demand.

The best song on the album in my opinion and a great choice for the second single.

Video coming "soon."

Well heck that's nothin' I got the new album already. It's pretty damn good too.Is it worth all the hype? No.It's got some really good songs, but I thought Axl had something better up his sleeve.Total band reformation is the only solution as I see it.I tried to be open minded towards this this album too.Maybe it will take a few more listens to really sink in,but i doubt it will be changed all that much.If you want to hear what i think should be album of the year listen to the new Boss Martians album "Pressure In The SODO".Now that's a classic record packed full of hits.

Expectations really suck...
For us, a 10 year delay or so has to be justified with groundbreaking music; for axl, 10 years are the mininum standard for a good-enough album.

I'm still waiting to hear the whole album so i can make a judgement. Don't think axl (or the so called "new" guns n roses) would ever provide "single" music. Chinese Democracy is a concept album (get it? Chinese Democracy? concept of something with a pain in the ass delivery but someday will happen?...), so I think we'd do better to hear the whole album.

As for Brandonio...well, forget the 10 years and all the expectation part: would you still think the same about the album?

FYI: in portugal, chinese democracy THE ALBUM is #4 even if it's still on pre-order...what about that?!

They ruined the middle of 'Better'

"Steeb," I have to agree. It's a travesty what they did to Pitman's breakdown.

In my opinion, many of the songs have lost their edge over the years.

The 1999 versions of IRS, There Was a Time, and Catcher in the Rye were all far, far superior to their current versions.

Street of Dreams (The Blues)was best in its 2002 Live arrangement, available here:

But I guess you always have to leave the fans hungry for more ...
