Democracy Falls to No. 51

A mere 8 weeks after the release of "one of the most highly anticipated albums of all time," Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy has plummeted to number 51 on the United States Billboard Chart.

We can make many excuses as to why this CD is performing poorer than expected - Best Buy doesn't have enough stores, we're in a recession, rock music isn't popular in the States, etc. etc. - but look at the rest of the chart.

Nickelback (9 weeks on the chart) is at #3
Kings of Leon (17 weeks on the chart) is at #23
The Killers (8 weeks) #24
AC/DC (13 weeks) #39 - Wal-Mart exclusive
Metallica (19 weeks) #40

These are fair comparisons.

This album needs a video and a tour, and Axl Rose needs to come out of his shell.
