Coldplay have confirmed their plans to release a new EP and studio album in the next 16 months.
Speaking to REM's Michael Stipe on BBC 6 Music, frontman Chris Martin revealed details of the group's impending releases.
"We're going to put an EP out at Christmas called
Prospekts March," said Martin. "And we're going to release an album next December to end the decade."
Coldplay's fourth studio album
Viva La Vida was released in June.
