As well as in this 2009 we received the visit of important exponents of the world-wide rock, the 2010 projects of the most moved in the musical scene.

The great bands of rock continue heading the list of concerts that we will see in first half of the year.

So it is the case of Metallica - that it will fall to us in January and, as if not outside sufficient, the following grouping in stepping on Peruvian ground will be Guns N' Roses, headed by Axl Rose, that will arrive with his put together band in the second fortnight of February.

Wolfmother and Slash Tear Up The Wiltern

Slash N' Stockdale - "By the Sword"

Full setlist here.

My humble attempt at deciphering the lyrics (not official):

With the horses that you ride,
And the feelings left inside,
Comes a time you need to leave all that behind,
Well they claim they'd like to know,
And they'll fight you there to go,
And they're gatherin' around for all the show,

Well there is a reward,
To live and die by the sword,
Well they tried to complicate you,
But you left it all behind,
All the worldly possessions,
Are left for recollections,
And finally it's all gone!

They're releasing all the hounds,
What is lost can still be found,
When you're walking with your fear down on the ground,
Well there's those who choose to run
Following the setting sun,
And now it seems the journey's has begun,

Well there is a reward,
To live and die by the sword,
Well they tried to complicate you,
But you left it all behind,
All the worldly possessions,
Are left for recollections,
And finally it's all gone!

With the horses that you ride,
And the feelings left inside,
there's a time you need to leave it all behind,

Well there is no reward,
To live and die by the sword,
Well they tried to complicate you,
But you left it all behind,
All the worldly possessions,
Are left for recollections,
And finally it's all gone!

Live Review: SLASH & Friends (LAYN Rocks)

ARTIST DIRECT
The power of the riff compelled Slash and pretty much everyone else at LAYN Rocks last night.

The legendary Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist certainly knows how to give a crowd a good time and, alongside some friends, that's exactly what he did for almost two hours.

Those "friends" happened to be some of the most legendary men to ever pick up a microphone or a guitar. Sunday's AMA lineup far paled in comparison to LAYN Rocks—and the event was for a very good cause, helping homeless kids across Los Angeles.

Host George Lopez put it best, " With all due respect to the AMAs, this is the fuckin' place to be on Sunday night!"

Slash brought together the best and brightest rock n' roll stars of the past four decades for the most riff-tastic benefit show ever. There's nothing quite like watching him and Dave Navarro rip through Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," volleying the classic riff back and forth with a new vibrancy.

Slash infused the solo with gritty gutter blues, and the entire crowd was mesmerized by the six-string God. During Thin Lizzy's "Jailbreak," Tom Morello tore through a scratchy lead that gave the song a hip hop fire and a spacey tone. Morello, Navarro and Slash complimented each other perfectly with each and every solo and riff brandishing its player's own signature.

Wolfmother's "Mother" had a deadly Black Sabbath-style stomp. Vocalist Andrew Stockdale gave a fiery performance worthy of the legends he shared the stage with, and Slash laid down a furious lead mid-song. During Zeppelin's "Tangerine," Slash donned a double neck and instantly transported the crowd back to the '70s.

However, the standout with Stockdale was he and Slash's original cut, "By the Sword," from Slash's forthcoming solo album. Smoky, ominous and psychedelic, the opening riff proved to be one of Slash's best. It's melancholy yet strangely energetic, and Stockdale's howl felt divinely otherworldly — a new classic.

Linkin Park and Dead By Sunrise mainman Chester Bennington gave "Good Times, Bad Times" a serious gusto that even Robert Plant couldn't conjure. Chester's got a classic old school rock n' roll edge and a modern sensitivity that makes him a true star. He's got one foot planted in tradition, but he's also the most forward thinking singer on the scene. He proved that during "Slither" and a raucous "Paradise City" complete with Stephen Adler behind the kit and Duff McKagan on bass. Chester definitely stood proudly even alongside Perry Farrell who did phenomenal renditions of "Mountain Song," "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Jane Says."

It all came back to the riff when Ozzy Osbourne hit the stage though. "I Don't Know," "Iron Man," "Crazy Train" and "Paranoid" exploded with Slash and Navarro lighting their fret boards up to finish the evening.

As Ozzy requested, the crowd went "fucking crazy," but it was all for a good cause—and the riffs are still resounding ... [ARTIST DIRECT]

Slash Teams with Ozzy, Billy Idol, Tom Morello & Chester Bennington

NME
Slash teamed up with Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello and Linkin Park's Chester Bennington for a special benefit concert in Los Angeles last night (November 22).

The ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist joined forces with a host of guest stars at the LAYN charity show at the Avalon to help raise funds for the homeless.

He was joined by his former bandmates Duff McKagan and Steve Adler, who also played with him in Velvet Revolver, plus Bennington, who fronted their rendition of "Paradise City.".

Slash was also joined by Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale, Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro and Blink-182's Travis Barker for the show.

The guitarist is currently working on his solo album Slash And Friends which includes many of the guests who joined him onstage last night.

Update

From DJ Will:

Hello and FOR THE RECORD....

Feel I must clear the air a bit because of all the GNR Boards including this one discussing the rehearsals that cut & pasted my comments from Sludge on the heels of the initial one. I made the mistake of putting a positive spin replying to a post there about how great I thought the band sounded the night I saw them. I am NOT a "spy"or a reporter nor did I intend for my post(s) to provide some official "sneak peek"of whats to come..couldnt be further from the truth, but I see that it came off that way.
I was a guest who was given great hospitality by the GNR camp. Nothing more. Nothing less.

A few things I stated were inaccurate anyway so please know that my brief "review" shouldnt be taken as 100% gospel in the first place. Its rehearsal for a reason. Things change.

I look forward to seeing GNR kick ass live like the next person so please decide for yourselves especially those who'll get to see them next month and in the new year.

Thank you for reading.

More "Spies"

Today's update comes courtesy of DJ Will (KNAC) who posted this on the Metal Sludge Gossip boards. The info comes via Rancid Punks over at MyGNR
"I'm shocked this guy brought a camera & reported anything ... after the head production manager made two announcemets ... No Cameras!

I was there one night and it was pretty cool I must say.

No Axl of course.

Well, without giving away the full set (I promised Del!), they did a complete run through of about 17-18 songs for about a week. Lots of visuals that complement each track - pyro, spots, etc. Nice lighting truss design plus a fucking bad ass re-working of a theme song that leads into "Live & Let Die" written by Richard Fortus. Overall well done.

I loved "Shackler's Revenge," "Better," "Prostitute" & "Rocket Queen" live.

FYI: That middle ramp/riser has Axl's grand piano under it for quick access."
Thanks to Rancid Punks and DJ Will for this sneak peak into what is shaping up to be a "monumental" stage show.

LAYN Rocks

In this exclusive interview, Slash talks to ARTISTdirect.com editor Rick Florino about LAYN Rocks this Sunday, his upcoming solo record and Marty Scorsese ...

Slash is the rock n' roll equivalent of Martin Scorsese.

While maintaining a classic sensibility, he injects true grit and passion into each and every composition, just like Marty. Appetite for Destruction was Slash's Taxi Driver — a raw and primal piece of cathartic art. In the same vein, Contraband was his Casino — a sprawling epic collaboration by genre titans.

In between laying down tracks for his forthcoming Slash & Friends solo debut, the legendary guitarist is focused on giving back—much like our favorite filmmaker ...

This Sunday November 22nd at Avalon in Hollywood, Slash & Friends will play a benefit show for Los Angeles Youth Network [LAYN], an organization aiming to end homelessness among kids. Some of those "super friends" appearing at LAYN Rocks include Ozzy Osbourne, Perry Farrell, Billy Idol, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park & Dead By Sunrise, Travis Barker, Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother, Dave Navarro and a few surprise guests. Plus, Mr. George Lopez will be MC-ing.

It doesn't get anymore rock n' roll than that, and this is bound to be an unforgettable evening.

How did LAYN Rocks come together?

My wife, Perla, and I support LAYN. She's actually on the board. We're trying to raise money to keep it going, and we've been doing these Slash & Friends gigs recently. Basically, we get a bunch of people together and put on a concert. Perla had asked me if I'd be interested in doing it to support LAYN, and I was fully into it! This will actually be the first Slash & Friends gig I've done in Los Angeles. Basically, I wanted to put together something that would be a really big blowout, and that's what we've done! We've got all these different artists, and it should be an amazing event.

Does performing on stage with other musicians tend to breed studio collaborations later on for something like your solo record?

No, this show actually has nothing to do with my solo album. One doesn't feed the other. However, having done a couple gigs with Chester Bennington makes me think about him if I'm writing a song. If there's a song that's right for Chester, I'll be like, "I've jammed with him, he would be perfect for this!" Performing together on stage inadvertently fuels future collaborations. The correlation isn't totally direct though. But, if there was an idea, we may come back to it. The more people you know that are singers and musicians, the bigger pool you have to pull from when you want to do some sort of collaboration.

Andrew Stockdale's playing with you on Sunday. Are you going to do your song together?

We're talking about it [Laughs]. That seems to be the plan. That's a cool thing too. There's a song that I recorded with Ozzy, but we're not going to have a chance to learn it. I've actually done two songs on the record with two of these guys performing at LAYN Rocks.

When you play a benefit like this, is it more special than a regular gig in some aspects?

It is special! There's something about it. It's a one-night event. It's not totally self-centered — which is how a concert usually is [Laughs]. Everybody is hanging out and having a good time. There's no pressure. You don't feel the pressure of having to be "The Headliner" and having an entire set to put together. People can leave all of those concerns at home and simply get up and jam. Because everybody is a pro, the jams are really good [Laughs]. The audience has no idea what they're in for because most of them have never seen anything like it. It turns out to be a really exciting event for everybody involved. It's a lot of fun.

The energy in the room must be particularly palpable because everyone is playing for the same goal — even though you're all from different bands.

Exactly! There's definitely a feeling of camaraderie and a feeling of giving and caring as well. It's really cool.

Do you have anymore of these benefits planned?

This is the only one that I've got going on. After Sunday, the holidays are coming, I've got a record coming out and all of this other stuff happening. One thing I've got to tell you — you lose a lot of sleep trying to get these things together [Laughs].

Well, the lineup looks legendary enough to be worth the sleep deprivation.

[Laughs] Musicians are coming from all different directions. We'll all convene over the weekend and rehearse. Then we'll put it together on Sunday and see how it goes. It should be a lot of fun! I've worked with pretty much everybody on the bill. I've never played with Travis Barker before, which is going to be cool. I've never worked with Andrew Stockdale outside of the studio, but he's a great guy. I've played with Chester, Dave Navarro, Billy Idol, Perry Farrell and Ozzy live before. Having all of these amazing get together is incredible. For me, to be on stage the whole night while they walk up is huge.

There's a '70s vibe to the whole event. It's very classic. In many ways, you're like a filmmaker from that particular renaissance. You're like the Scorsese of the guitar! There's an outlaw vibe but an epic sense of refinement ...

[Laughs] That's a huge compliment! I love Scorsese! I was obviously raised in the '70s, and I come from the outlaw rock n' roll background as far as who I was raised with, what my parents were all about, what kind of music I listened to and so on. I would imagine I've gotten some influence from that which has spilled over into what I've been doing since I picked up a guitar. I like that old, '70s vibe where people just get together and jam for the sake of making music as opposed to everything being the way things are today. Now it's money-driven, image-driven and that corporate sort of thing. It's nice to be able to make a minute and do something that has nothing to do with any outside interests except for jamming — especially if you're doing it for a cause.

Is that vibe spilling over into your solo material?

The solo stuff is really cool because it does have a similar vibe. It wasn't created for any kind of cause, benefit, fundraising or anything like that but, at the same time, there's something to it. The last couple bands I've been in — Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses and even Snakepit — there were so many concerns coming from the record company about so many different things. The pressure can be a little bit of a drag at times especially if you've got ego problems within the band. That's what being in a rock n' roll band can be about. I wanted to do a solo record so I could do something that I'd dictate myself and would be my responsibility. Whether it sinks or swims is all up to me. To get a bunch of people together who I think are really talented and have them sing is amazing. The singers were all great because they didn't have to worry about pressures from their record labels about whether or not the song was going to be a huge hit single. I got amazing performances because the whole thing was so laidback. That's one of the similarities between my record and this concert that we're doing on Sunday. It's really done for the pure joy of it, as opposed to trying to prove something, trying to sell a certain number of copies or whatever it is that motivates everybody these days [Laughs]. What the Spies Said

Notes from the arena dress rehearsals in LA:

Richard Fortus is playing through a 1973 Jose Marshall along with a Friedman "Marsha" amp and some modified Randall modules, all driven by a Randall RT-2 power amp. His pedals are incorporated with all of the above (pictured) and are racked and switched through a custom system built by Dave Friedman of Rack Systems Ltd. Fortus has 2 Randall isolation cabinets with Celestion Golds and Celestion G12H loudspeakers. He's playing a Chet Atkins Gretsch guitar, a Gibson ES-335 and a bunch of Fender Telecasters and Gibson Les Pauls.

DJ is also using a "Marsha," as well as a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier tube amp. The Mesa Boogie plugs into a 4x12 with Golds and the Marsha is using V30's. DJ has a ton of different Les Paul's he's playing with.

Ron is sticking with his Engl heads played through Marshall 4x12s. He's using Vigier guitars. He has a double-neck Vigier with a fretless.

... And, just in case you were wondering, the lineup is still: Axl, Dizzy, Tommy, Chris, Richard, Ron, DJ and Frank

There's been a miscommunication between us and I Love Access regarding the VIP packages for the Canadian tour. Just sit tight while we work it out.
So, what's the deal? I don't know. Stay tuned.

Charlie Sheen and Slash to Appear on 'Lopez Tonight'

Lopez Tonight

Charlie Sheen and Slash will appear on George Lopez's new TBS talk show, Lopez Tonight, on Monday, November 16 at 11 PM Eastern time.

Sheen, who has always been open about his years of excess drugs, drink and promiscuous sex, said that he once got some surprising advice from his rocker pal, Slash.

Sheen said, "One of my fondest memories is when Slash from Guns N' Roses sat me down at his house and said, 'You've got to clean up your act.' You know you've gone too far when Slash is saying, 'Look, you've got to get into rehab, you have to shut it down. You're going to die.' "He's a terrific guy and I love him - he's a buddy of mine - but I had to step back from that situation and go, 'Yeah, but you're Slash. Whaddya mean?'"

Welcome to the Ballpark, Axl Rose

By Dave DeLand

I've always assumed that even when Axl Rose is a bald, toothless old man (which may be a few years) and has faded into complete professional obscurity (which has already happened), he'll still be raking in the royalties because of how often the introductory riff of "Welcome To The Jungle" gets played at professional sporting events.

I've also assumed that the Guns N' Roses rock anthem that Rose's band recorded 22 years ago must be just about the most frequently played song (or at least the most frequently played opening 15 seconds) in sports history.

It has blared out of the Metrodome's speakers about a dozen times at every Minnesota Vikings home game for the past two decades, and it seemingly gets more exposure at sports venues than any other song.

But as it turns out, it's not even in the Top 10.

That's according to the folks at Broadcast Music, Inc., the organization that licenses much of the music played in the United States and keeps track of such things — meticulously.

"That's how we pay the songwriters. In fact, when songwriters get their royalty statement, it tells them which team plays their song," said BMI publicist Jerry Bailey.

BMI annually releases its Top 10 list of music most frequently played at National Football League, Major League Baseball and National Hockey League games. But it charts everything that gets played.

"We paid on 13,476 titles during that distribution period (July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009)," Bailey said. "Some of those titles, if they're very heavily played by a certain team, that can move it up."

One word of caution before we get into the details of the list: If you're a Baby Boomer like myself, this list might make you feel sort of old (I was completely unfamiliar with Nos. 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10).

So here, without further delay, is the Top 10 (and the performing artists) for the 2008-09 cycle:

No. 1 — "We Will Rock You" (Queen). This 32-year-old favorite has always been popular at sporting events because of its "stomp stomp clap" element, and nobody knows that better than Minnesotans — the two teams that played it the most were the Minnesota Wild and the Dallas Cowboys. (Funny: You'd think the Cowboys would trend toward "Jailhouse Rock").

"Did you watch much of the World Series? You could hear the 'stomp stomp clap' in every game," Bailey said. "Crowds just love to do that 'stomp stomp clap'."

No. 2 — "Pump It" (Black Eyed Peas). It was No. 1 in the previous year, although even after listening to it on YouTube it didn't ring a bell for me.

(Apparently, 53-year-olds aren't the Peas' target pod).

No. 3 — "Twilight Zone" (2 Unlimited). At first I thought this was the 1982 song by Golden Earring, but as it turns out it's a techno number by another Dutch band. It's often used when starting lineups are introduced.

"Teams are trying to cover all demographics," Bailey said. "Some songs just become ingrained in the minds of sports fans. It's a similar phenomenon to Christmas music in a way."

No. 4 — "Song 2" (Blur). Thanks to the ultra-thick English accent of the lead singer, this song's only recognizable lyrics are "Whee Hoo." But that works at the arena, obviously.

No. 5 — "Rock and Roll Parts 1 and 2" (Gary Glitter). Another song with minimal lyrics (the only discernable word is "Hey"), this has been a sporting venue staple since 1972.

No. 6 — "Black Betty" (Ram Jam). I hated this version when it came out in 1977, and it hasn't gotten any better since then.

No. 7 — "Cowboys from Hell" (Pantera). Pantera isn't exactly easy listening, and you probably wouldn't play this for your grandmother (unless Granny is really into heavy metal). This would sound more at home at OzzFest than at a baseball game.

"What you're looking at on that Top 10 list is a mash between baseball, hockey and football," Bailey said. "Teams in different leagues play very different music. Hockey teams have a long season, and they play more music than football teams."

No. 8 — "Stronger" (Kanye West). I'm not familiar with this one, or the following two: A little bit of techno rap goes a long way with me.

"Generally, the music is selected to rally the fans," Bailey said. "Most of this music is music that really makes you want to dance or clap."

No. 9 — "Let It Rock" (Kevin Rudolf featuring Lil Wayne). Sorry, don't know it. I listened to 30 seconds of it on YouTube: That's enough.

No. 10 — "Put On" (Young Jeezy featuring Lil Wayne). Ditto. Lil Wayne gets around, huh?

I don't have strong opinions about a lot of the songs in this year's Top 10, although I'm sure I could get sick of them all fairly easily.

Some others that aren't in this year's Top 10 — many of them Baby Boomer mainstays — have already fallen onto my "never need to hear this again" list, largely because of overplaying at sports arenas:

"Old Time Rock N' Roll" (Bob Seger). Seger is kind of hit-or-miss, and when he hits he can knock it out of the park. This, however, isn't one of them, and the Twins played this song to death in the '80s and '90s.

"Start Me Up" (Rolling Stones). Again, I know this is targeted at Boomers like me, but these guys should have retired 30 years ago.

"Glory Days" (Bruce Springsteen). I love The Boss, but this has gotten so overplayed that it's just a cliche.

"Bittersweet Symphony" (The Verve). This is actually the official team song of the Seattle Seahawks. But it's a little too symphonic to be good sports arena music, and I have issues with anybody who calls themselves "The Verve."

"Welcome To The Jungle" (Guns N' Roses). Enough, already. I like ice cream, but after 20 gallons or so I tend to get sick of it. I also own this CD, but I'll probably never play it again because I've heard that opening riff 847,000,000 times.

But Axl probably doesn't mind — as long as the royalty checks keep coming.

Bob Dylan, the Creative Process and the Media

I borrowed a stack of CDs from the library this week. A mixture of old and new stuff: a Hollies anthology, the Franz Ferdinand disc (which I'd never heard and I like a lot), and a very good, live, Faces set.

One of them was Bob Dylan: No Direction Home: The Soundtrack. The liner notes are fantastic, and I had to share the following piece, written by musician Al Kooper, which I found to be particularly enlightening, especially this passage:

"With the success of the Highway 61 Revisited album, the pressure was on. New producer Bob Johnston suggested that Bob record the follow-up in Nashville with players that Johnston would handpick.

Dylan agreed to this gamble but insisted on bringing Robbie Robertson and myself along so that he would feel "comfortable" recording away from New York City.

Bob was still completing many of the songs when we arrived in Tennessee. A piano was installed in his hotel room. During the days, I was summoned to Bob's room. Bob would teach me the song he was trying to complete, and like a not-yet-invented cassette machine, I would sit at the piano and play the song over and over again, while he finished the lyrics. After a day of this, I made a suggestion to him:

'Bob, why don't you come to the session an hour late tonight? I will get there and teach the band this song and any others we worked on today. That way, you can just walk in, and we will know at least one or two songs that you won't have to sit through while we learn them.'

He assented; it worked out great that first night, and became the modus operandi of the rest of the sessions.

However the reverse could and would happen from time to time. Bob would arrive, go to the piano in the studio and start changing a lyric.

Sometimes he would be in there for four or five hour stretches. The band took it in good humor and played pool and ping pong, watched TV and catnapped.

One night a journalist somehow slipped in with a friend and was asked to come back later as Bob was writing. He returned four hours later and Bob appeared to be in the exact same position at the piano as when the journalist was originally expelled.

'Man...what is he ON?' the reporter asked no one in particular in a loud voice.

'Columbia Records.' Albert Grossman, Bob's manager replied as he showed the gentleman to the door."

The point is, at least for me, that the creative process is something that takes it's own time, and that the media (myself included) is always looking for the sensational story.

Now obviously one cannot compare the creative output of a writer as prolific as Bob Dylan (34 studio albums) with someone like Axl Rose who took 14 years to put out one record - but the point still stands, and it's food for thought.

Slash's "Sahara" and "Paradise City"

"One of the benefits of being the Music Director of WAAF, is hearing new music WAY before anyone else! Today I got a chance to hear some of the new Slash album that will be released in March of 2010.

We should have the new single (which is going to feature Ozzy on lead vocals) in January!

This song was AWESOME!

And, the lyrics are going to piss off Axl & Black Sabbath!"
[Mistress Carrie]

According to Reckless Road author Marc Canter, "The song sounds like the 1972 Ozzy and it's heavy!"

GN'R Blames Major League Baseball for Band's Silence on Tour

Band has it's lackeys "call-out" MLB Senior Editor Doug Miller.

We've all noticed the lack of updates on GunsNRoses.com ever since the recruitment of DJ Ashba (March 21, 2009).

With the Japanese dates coming up and the Canadian ones scheduled, one would expect the band to actually get off their asses and update the official website with the usual fluff-talk about how it's going to be great, et al. The effort is mostly symbolic; that way people would know that the band acknowledges the dates and is committed to them. Last month, Mysteron seemed to agree with this on this back at HTGTH:

"It is important though that the band add credence by putting these dates on their official website. An official announcement would be even better."

However, yesterday, Mysteron, a beloved 'insider' at the HTGTH community, went completely around and posted the following:

"I want to apologize to GN'R for my comments. MLB currently own the rights to, and control input to, the official GN'R website. However ...dot dot dot Hopefully Guns can find another official way to communicate with the fans in the meantime."

MLB.com and former GN'R manager Merck Mercuriadis came into an agreement of sorts in 2006 regarding the online shop features of GN'R dot com. While the domain listings maintain the ownership of GNR.com is solely in the hands of our man Axl, technical and administrative contacts direct one solely to MLB.com staff. Go figure.

MLB.com have apparently stepped back of providing content around the Japanese dates of the 2007 tour. Before this, most (if not all) articles on the GN'R site were written by their local Senior Writer Doug Miller, who currently continues to write for MLB.com. However, the website managed to be updated semi-regularly up to the recruitment of DJ Ashba, with or without MLB.com's direct consent.

So, bummer. The CD release came and went and no-one at MLB had a problem with the content. It's only a year after that GN'R, having clandestinely sneaked in numerous updates, have finally reached the end of their rope.

I do hope Guns find another official way to communicate with the fans. GN'R Online was an Interscope-manned site, who must've forgotten the password somewhere in early 2003, before transforming it more into the line of their generic band websites.

The only dangerous thing about the modern GNR is their dangerously sloppy management.

Thanks to copperye at GNREvolution who originally wrote this piece.

For futher discussion.

Dahmer Vs Gacy

The AFM Trailer for Dahmer Vs Gacy

Obviously playing for laughs, the showdown you probably never expected to see has arrived. Below you'll find the AFM trailer for Ford Austin's Dahmer Vs Gacy, in which 30 of the world's most notorious serial killers are cloned by the government.

Director Austin plays Dahmer, while Gacy is played by Randal Malone. The indie flick also features appearances by genre alumni Irwin Keyes, Felissa Rose, Brooke Lewis Alana Curry, Lee Perkins, as well as... former Guns N Roses drummer Steven Adler?

Is it in bad taste? You decide.

Alice in Chains: Black Gives Way To Blue - The Interview

In this exclusive interview Jerry, Sean, Mike and William talk about the making of Black Gives Way to Blue, Layne's untimely death and how Elton John became involved. Plus much much more.
